Keep things as "normal" as possible. Leave him or her their favorite (safe) toys and let the sitter (me) keep them as close to their regular feeding and "bathroom"/walking schedule as possible!
Tips from Debbie while you're away...
Your pets get bored too! Leaving music on during the day truly does calm all animals - I can turn this on and off for you while you're away! Also, leave an old tee-shirt with your scent on it for your pet to sniff and lay on - it reminds them of you and reassures them!
